- 4 picture frames
- Craft Stencils from Royal Design Studio: Mansion House Grille Trellis Craft Stencil, Donatella Damask Craft Stencil, Intricate Zelij Craft Stencil, and Casbah Trellis Craft Stencil
- Small Silent Night Vinyl Wall Decal from Wallternatives™
- 1” Royal Stencil Brush
- Red Royal Stencil Size
- Imitation Gold Leaf
- 4 letter size cream or off-white cardstock paper
- Painter’s tape, scissors, and lamb’s wool pad
Step 1: Stencil each cardstock paper with a different stencil design by first securing the craft stencil in place with painter’s tape. Load a stencil brush with Royal Stencil Size and offload any excess onto a paper towel. Stencil the design on the paper using light pressure and a circular motion. Use the built-in registration marks to realign the design until the entire paper is stenciled. Repeat to add a second coat of Royal Stencil Size on each paper.
Step 2: Reposition the stencil over the first repeat and apply a layer of Gold Leaf through the design. Burnish the Gold Leaf with lamb’s wood pad through the design. Use the built-in registration marks to realign the design until the entire paper has Gold Leaf applied and burnished. Then remove the stencil and burnish the entire papers to remove any loose Gold Leaf. Repeat the gilding process with each paper.
Step 3: Trace the picture frame glass onto each paper and cut them to size. Place the gilded papers inside the frames and secure them from the back.
Step 4: Use a squeegee to burnish the Christmas wall decal on both sides. Center and secure the wall decals onto the glass using a large piece of painter’s tape. Remove the backing paper from one side of the wall decal and use the squeegee to smooth it down onto the glass. Then remove the painter’s tape and smooth down the other side, making sure to remove any air bubbles. Carefully remove the transfer paper and repeat this step with each paper and frame.
