Stencil Star Saturday

Every Saturday we are super thrilled to share inspiring stencil projects from our talented customers on our Facebook Page. It’s our chance to say THANK YOU to these talented artisans for their creativity and support of our Royal Design Studio mylar stencils and also our Modello Designs decorative painting stencils. Here are just a few of the stencil projects we’ve highlighted recently….

Amy Foss Tyson sells custom painted furniture and refurbished antiques through her North Carolina shop Gallery on Third. She’s also a proud stockist of Chalk Paint™ decorative paint from Annie Sloan and used Greek Blue Chalk Paint and our Springtime in Paris stencil to create this lovely French-inspired arm chair.

Carol Prendergast of Faux Illusions, LLC, is a Colorado based decorative artist. She used our Entwined Trellis Damask Stencil for this wall stencil project in a Parade of Homes Showhouse. According to Carol, this metallic-based beauty is one of her most popular finishes. It’s not hard to see why! This is a beautiful stencil application!

Antje Zwink from Bellausions repainted this treasured chest that was given to her by her Grandmother with one of our Stencil Impressions stencil set, Large Paisleys. With this cool color combination and careful pattern placement this furniture stencil project will be a nice family heirloom for her to pass along as well!

Range hoods make an ideal surface for a unique stencil project, and Artistic Walls by Sandra principle artist Sandra Quintas created a masterful textural treatment for this one! She used stencils to accent the architectural features of this hood, choosing our Micah Panel Stencil and coordinated it with a single repeat of our Elegancia Allover Damask stencil.

Washington D.C. based decorative artist Leslie Nesbitt’s business is called Rythmic Walls. Seems a fitting name as we look at this gorgeous, lyrical interpretation of our our Yoruba African Stencil. Leslie chose bright pink, coral and metallic colors to accent her dark wall and play off her eclectic collection of modern and African art. Leslie says, “Surprisingly, with all the movement in the stencil it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Rather, it has a subtle “jaw-droppingness” about it, plays well with my artwork and more importantly, for me has meaning. In fact I love this room so much, I feel like a Happy Client. I guess you can call it an ‘Intra-Transformation’.”

Aren’t you super inspired by these ladies’ stencil projects? We have many, many more to share, but invite you to “like” our Royal Design Studio Facebook page so you don’t miss our special Saturday Facebook shares. We also go into more detail with interviews and stencil tips with many of our Stencil Stars on our Design Amour blog, so be sure to check THAT out as well. We also invite you to submit your OWN projects. As they say, “sharing is caring!” If you care to share then, by all means, please send project photos to
