Have you ever had a room that just can’t seem to get done? There are plans, the re-do starts with excitement and then…life happens. Linda from the Calling it Home blog had the same problem and decided to start an online event called the One Room Challenge™. Design and Décor bloggers have six weeks to complete a room and share their progress. It has become a super popular event in the blogosphere with a highly engaged following waiting to see all the incredible room transformations. The latest ORC event finished in November and Royal Design Studio was so proud to have helped support three bloggers with their stencil and wallcovering projects. How did they do? Let’s take a look!
The super talented Kris of Driven by Décor had the challenge of redecorating her powder bath. It had dated wallpaper, a blah mirror and needed a relaxing color scheme. The pièce de résistance is the Annapakshi Indian Damask Wall Stencil which was used to give an allower wallpaper look on the walls in soothing greys. Be sure to see Kris’ Stenciled Bathroom reveal for more info on her project.
Summer from Simple Stylings had a glam stenciled walk-in closet makeover in mind for her One Room Challenge™ project. She wanted her personal space to feel fresh and pretty like a beautiful boutique. Using the Persian Garden Damask Wall Stencil, she stenciled a feature wall and used a fab floor mirror to help reflect the pattern. Mission accomplished!
Design-savvy Mallory from Charming in Charlotte had a moody and sultry bath makeover in her sights. Instead of a stencil, she chose to use the English Garden Bar J. Removable Wallpaper from our Wallternatives line. Pairing the removable wallcovering pattern’s colors with a rich and deep navy blue paint on the remaining walls, she also added beautiful brass accents. Lovely! Check out her Powder Room Makeover post for all the details.
We hope you’ve enjoyed these three incredible projects featured in the One Room Challenge™ as much as we enjoyed the transformations using our products! If you’d like to be a part of the next six-week event, be sure to keep an eye out on the Calling it Home blog. We can’t wait to see the next round of inspired wallcovering and stenciling projects!
