Whether you own your home or rent, there is nothing like Stenciling with Royal Design Studio patterns to help enhance the design of your space. This is why we were so excited to recently partner up with Porch.com, an amazing free home and DIY network that connects homeowners and renters with the right home service professionals. They showcase inspiring décor ideas and provide great guidance for your home projects. What better way to collaborate with them than working with seven amazing DIY bloggers for 7 Days of Stencils? These projects show just how easy it is to be creative and colorful with stencils!
Glorious Color! A Girl and a Glue Gun stenciled a colorful surprise on her desk drawers with the French Floral Damask Stencil. The colors pop so nicely against the freshness of the white desk exterior! The bright colors are so fun to look at it’s almost a shame to have to shut the drawers! If you love this look as much as we do, considering copying the idea, but instead, stencil this fabulous floral damask pattern on the OUTSIDES of the drawers.
The Nova Trellis Wall Stencil adds an easy, laid back modern style to a master bedroom. Jami from An Oregon Cottage stenciled her accent wall in two hours! She knew she needed a focal point and wanted a trellis pattern, but never once considered wallpaper. Why?? Stenciling is so much easier to paint over down the road, it’s easier than hanging wallpaper, MUCH less expensive, and you get to pick the colors that work perfectly for your room.
Stencils are fantastic for projects large and small! If you don’t want to stencil a whole feature wall, consider stenciling a smaller feature to accent it. Rachel from Like a Saturday used her Timberland Bonnie Christine Furniture Stencil to create stenciled monogram art that nestles perfectly on her mantel.
What a difference even a little stenciling can make! At Home in Love added a happy dose of style and color with the Harlequin Furniture Stencil to this stenciled nightstand. This custom look was achieved by stenciling random bright colors throughout the pattern and then letting the harlequin design “branch out” with just one color. This would be a great creative idea to transfer to a whole wall stencil treatment.
We recently featured stenciled tribal chic projects with the African Plumes Wall Stencil and Jen Woodhouse’s own project is no exception! She stenciled a bench that now looks amazing! This project highlights how easy it is to take a more traditional piece of furniture and make it modern with an unexpected color and geometric design.
Bev from Flamingo Toes found herself stenciling a craft room bookshelf with the Blossom Floral Furniture Stencil. So lovely! Getting creative by stenciling random repeats of an allover stencil design with a contrasting color takes any stencil project up a notch.
Chaotically Creative used the Tuscan Tile Stencil to update and paint a serving tray with a bright and happy color scheme. These colors are as fresh as a cool glass of citrus-y water, and the project shows yet another way to get creative with a simple stencil pattern.
Aren’t the 7 Days of Stencils SO inspiring? Such simple but gorgeous projects that should get your creative wheels turning with stencil possibilities! As to the collaboration, we are huge fans of Porch.com and it’s mutual! Taylor Horn, Blogger and Community Lead for Porch.com, shares, “One of my favorites parts of running the Porch Blogger Program is being able to come up with fun campaigns that feature unique brands to share with our Porch community. Royal Design Studio caught my eye because of their beautiful designs, and I’m so happy we’re able to team up to bring you 7 Days of Stencils!”. So, is there a stencil project you’re inspired to try right away? Let us know in the comments!
