Royal Design Studio Wall Stencils and Paint Supplies for DIY Projects

  1. Many years ago I stenciled a wall in the front room of a bed & breakfast using a damask stencil I cut myself using mylar (pre made damask stencils were not available in the 1990’s). The owner, wanted a subtle effect. I used a DARK GREEN FLAT for the background, and a the same GREENGREEN SATIN with A TINY BIT OF PEARL GLAZE for the stenciled area. The effect was stunning, subtle and elegant. I got four other clients who saw this wall treatment! I only wish I could have purchased the stencil. Making my own was tedious. You should try this technique. Even without the pearl glaze it was quite beautiful.

  2. Thanks for sharing that Betsey!! We love those subtle, tone-on-tone stencil looks. They are always so elegant and easy to live with. Hope you are still stenciling!!! 🙂
